The XR3 UniversalVSAT Transceiver, supports all known modems and may be switched betweenany of the Ku-outbound (receive) sub-bands. This offers huge logisticaladvantages over the existing '1st
generation' VSAT systems built usingdiscrete components.
This breakthrough in performance and flexibility was achieved using Andrew's patent pending, 'flexible demodulator' architecture.
With Andrew's unique PLL (phase locked loop) IC (integratedcircuit), the result is a high stability PLL, at the same price as thelower performance DRO.
The integrated 3W BUC (block upconverter) was designed with high efficiency and linearity in mind,thus reducing operating temperatures, increasing reliability andminimizing environmental
footprint.
In addition, theintegrated OMT (ortho-mode transducer) and TRF (transmit reject filter)guarantee system critical EIRP and G/T at installation.
