Strain Cable SC-01

The fibre optic strain cable SC-01 is a long base strain gage which can be mounted on a structure by means of two anchoring points. It makes use of the intrinsic strain sensitivity of the Fibre Bragg Grating in order to detect strain (or displacement) changes between the anchoring points. The standard base length can be chosen between 1 and 5 meters. The sensor is connectorised at both ends to make series configurations possible.
