Shot Blasting Tiles

Shot Blasting: This technique is used to bring in a lightly roughened texture to one or more surfaces on the paving units. By and large, the top surface is only treated, as the side and black is not visible when laid. The basic process involves peppering the units with stainless steel shots. The small beads of stainless steel fired at high velocity by means of compressed air spalls the surface a bit at a time, dislodging small particles of concrete. The shot-blast finish achieves a pleasing overall effect with practical long-life appeal.
