Compex WP18 is a Single Board Computer based upon the Intel XScale IXP42x CPU. It features up to 533MHz processor operation and integrates 2 Type III Mini PCI Slots which allows DualBand support. Embedded with 32MB memory and 4MB flash, WP18 provides the ideal platform to kickstart any wireless profile. Wp18 includes an integrated Power over Ethernet (PoE) that allows WP18 to be used in areas where power outlets are not readily available. The WP18 includes several advance features such as serial port (console redirection) and watchdog timer making WP18 ideal for any type of industrial applications. WP18, besides using Compex Firmware, another alternative involves using Redboot Loader & Snapgear. These will be available in source codes upon request. With the Redboot Loader & Snapgear, Linux hobbyists or professional developers are able to develop or customize more functionality on WP18.
