This stove uses an adjustable burner so you can regulate from boil to simmer. It comes with instructions and VHS tape instructions but it's use is easy. Just fill stove tank, & light up! This camping stove preheats in same manner as the lantern. Add pressure with O-Ring pump system. Pumps up fast!! When the needle is on the 3 bars, light the preheater, and allow to preheat. Turn the stove on by turning the on and off knob (just turn it counter clockwise to the ON position - from low heat to high heat as you turn more). When cooking is complete, turn knob clockwise (Off). BriteLyt also offers the E-Z Pump as an option (though it's not required). can be used if desired as an extra.
