Another option in case of this belt is the edges securing. The loops, eventually edges of spirals, are secured, according to the material type, by welding or braze welding.

The belt is made from tightly wounded flat spirals, alternatively with left and right orientation. The connecting cross rods are straight, eventually finished with grooving. The winding density is determined, better then by s parameter, by the number of coils per unit of the belt's width.
