Surmold has been making molds for plastic gears since 1995. They are capable of making molds of Module 0.1-2.0 gears and injection molding gears with accuracy up to AGMA 12. With the experience of solving customers problems, Surmold has developed the following special technologies on gear tooling:
Weld line minimization technology
Weld lines cause strength weakening and cosmetic defect of gears. Surmold has developed the technology to manufacture plastic gears with minimization of weld lines or even without weld lines.

This technology can solve the dented tooth problem due to post shrinkage.
