Custom Built Gear Box for Cold Rolling Mill Plant

ELECON has developed and supplied Custom built Helical reduction gear box cum Pinion Stand for Rolling Mill & Briddle Drives for M/s Tisco Jamshedpur - CRM project. The Pickle line and Tandem Cold Mill(PL-TCM) for Cold Rolling Mill (CRM) capacity of 1.2952 Million Tonnes per year is done by M/s HITACHI-Japan.Teeth of pinion, wheel and pinion stand pinions are made from high tensile carburising alloy steel, 17CrNiMo6 as per DIN 17210-Case hardened to 60+-2 HRC and precisely ground to class of accuracy 6 as per DIN 3961 - 63. Housing of mild Steel welded construction, Grade Fe 410 WA as per IS 2062 duly stress relieved.The shafts are supported on Anti-friction Spherical Roller Bearings of adequate size to take care of radial and axial loads and housed in the specially developed eccentric bush permitting large degree of freedom against misalignment.The gear box is equipped with Oil Flow, Pressure and Temp. monitoring items. The gear units are connected with the centralized forced feed lubrication system for providing necessary amount of oil to various gear meshes and bearings thereby resulting into smooth and trouble free operation.
