The impeller is the main accessory of the slurry pump. The pumping of the slurry pump is entirely achieved by the rotation of the impeller. Today we will introduce the accessory impeller of the slurry pump.
The slurry pump impeller is a rotating blade with a curved shape. The blades generate centrifugal force by rotating at high speed in a circular motion, thereby adding pressure and speed to the pumped slurry. This creates a rotating spiral flow that forces the fluid at the center of rotation outward with greater speed and force.
Impeller classification is generally divided into three categories. Commonly used impellers include open impellers, closed impellers, and semi-open impellers.
Today we are mainly talking about open impellers. An open impeller is a device consisting of a hub with blades mounted on a shaft. The efficiency of an open impeller will be slightly lower than that of a closed or semi-open impeller. However, since the cover plate is not fixed to the inlet, the blades have a design advantage due to lower blade stresses. In a pump, fluid enters from the pump's suction line and is directed to the impeller's suction, where the blades add energy and direct it to the pump's outlet. In order to prevent most of the fluid from flowing back, there must be a relatively tight gap between the blades and the pump body.

Engineering plastic centrifugal pump with open impeller for clear and waste liquids Flow components which contact with liquids are made of ultra-high-molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). The material has excellent corrosion resistance, excellent wear resistance and strong ...
There is a correct gap value between the impeller and the rear guard plate of the slurry pump. We have previously introduced the method of adjusting the impeller clearance of the AH slurry pump. Today we will introduce how to adjust the impeller clearance of ZJ slurry pump. ...
Is there any difference between the impeller of our ZJ series slurry pump and the impeller of AH series slurry pump? Let’s find out today. The impellers of our ZJ series slurry pumps, regardless of model size, have a common feature, that is, their channels are relatively ...
The most common daily maintenance for slurry pumps is to pay more attention to maintenance during operation. 1. Pay attention to changes in the meter pointer. Under normal operation, the position of the instrument pointer should be basically stable at a certain position. If the ...
We have mentioned before that there are three types of shaft seals for slurry pumps: packing seals, impeller seals, and mechanical seals. Among them, the packing seal is the most common in our use because of its simple structure, low price, and reliable operation. Therefore, in ...
The impeller clearance of the AH type slurry pump is adjusted when it leaves the factory. Therefore, there is generally no need to adjust the impeller clearance when the new machine arrives at the site. So when does it need to be adjusted? Shijiazhuang slurry pump manufacturer ...
When our slurry pump has abnormal noise or friction, or we have dismantled the pump and replaced the impeller during maintenance, or the disc does not move when the hand pump is operated, then we need to pay attention to whether there is a problem with the impeller clearance. . ...
AH slurry pumps are mostly used in mining, electric power, metallurgy, coal, environmental protection and other industries. Approximately 80% of applications in mineral processing plants are used in mineral processing plants in the mining industry. The industrial and mining ...
There are many types of slurry pumps. In terms of installation methods, they can be divided into horizontal slurry pumps, submersible slurry pumps, and submersible slurry pumps. In terms of working principles, they can be divided into centrifugal pumps, plunger pumps, and ...
