Structural features of rubber-lined slurry pumps

AH type slurry pumps are commonly made of two materials: high chromium alloy and natural rubber. Today we are going to talk about slurry pumps made of natural rubber.

Rubber slurry pumps are also called rubber-lined slurry pumps. They are characterized by corrosion resistance. This type of slurry pump generally refers to the pump lining being made of rubber.

The linings of slurry pumps are generally divided into two types, wear-resistant metal and wear-resistant rubber. There is a big difference in properties between rubber linings and metal linings. Rubber linings are generally better than metal linings in terms of corrosion resistance, but their abrasion resistance is not very good. The lining of metal high-chromium alloy generally has good wear resistance, but its corrosion resistance is not as good as that of rubber. Therefore, when choosing a slurry pump, the lining material must be selected based on the customer's industrial and mining conditions and the composition of the slurry being transported.

Generally, for slurries that are not very abrasive, you can first choose a rubber-lined slurry pump; for iron ore, gold ore and other highly abrasive slurries, you can choose a metal-lined slurry pump.
