BES Buffer Cas No.10191 18 1 is dihydroxyethyl amino ethanesulfonic acid, primarily used as a biological buffer, and is a GOOD's reagent that is suitable for pH ranges from 6.4 to 7.8 and is soluble in water from 0°C to 3.2M. It can be used as pH buffer for biological and biochemical detection.

Prepare 800 mL of dH2O in a suitable container;

10.66 G of BES buffer were added to the solution;

16.36 G of sodium chloride were added to the solution;

0.21 G of disodium hydrogen phosphate were added to the solution;

Using 1M NaOH to adjust the solution to the desired pH (typical pH=6.95);

Add dH2O until the volume is 1 L.
