Because we dont mass-produce goats, our meat supply is somewhat limited.

Because McCormick Livestock is predator friendly, we use guardian dogs to protect the goats from predators. Jack, Emma, Maggie, Maxie and Jessie, form a close bond with the goats and always have a close eye on the herd.

They are harvested at a USDA inspected facility and hand cut, packaged in vacuum-sealed 100% barrier proof cryovac packaging and then frozen.

The kids are all born and raised on ranches located in Calaveras County. They are never given growth hormones nor are they fed antibiotics.

During the breeding season and before kidding they are brought back to the home ranch in Valley Springs so they can be closely monitored.

The health and well being of the goats are one of our highest priorities. The goats spend the majority of their lives in large fenced cells with access to browse and native grasses. They also have access to clean fresh water and mineral supplements.

Our goat herd consist of nannies selected for having good dispositions, good maternal instincts
and consistently producing multiple healthy kids.

Goat meat is often referred to as Chevon (a goat kid between the age of 7 to 12 months old) and Cabrito (a weanling kid goat 3 to 6 months old).

In addition to being tasty, goat meat is lower in saturated fat, cholesterol and calories than most other meats.

Goat meat is the most widely consumed meat in the world, eaten by 70% of the world population.
