These are live jumbo sized sea scallops ( Placopecten magellanicus ) harvested from the pristine waters surrounding Cape Cod Massachusetts. They range in size from 4 to 8 inch shell and the meat size can be as large as a u/6!! They have a shelf life up to one week and can travel well. The roe color ranges from opaque white to a brilliant red. They are sold by size and graded either medium or large.
