The foot (meat) is similar in appearance and taste as abalone, with the body of the
South Australian Turbans are harvested at depths to 15m from the clear, cold waters of the Southern Ocean. The attractive round shell has a low spire and mottled green markings. Turbans feed on large seaweed and are collected from 45mm to 65mm in diameter weighing 40 grams to 90 grams.
