The average size is 25-45cm, some grow to about 90cm and average weight approximately 1-1.5kg. Brownish with irregular dark blotches. Shape oval with long rostral hook on upper jaw.
Flesh apricot coloured, whitens on cooking. Delicate texture and flavour.
