Naphthalene

Widely used in the manufacture of plasticizers (which is used in the production of concrete admixtures), Naphthalene is the product of the metallurgical coke manufacturing process. It is essentially a coal tar distillate, which is produced when crude coal tar is processed in a distillation tower. Naphthalene is also used to make sulphonates and sometimes finds use in the dyes & intermediates industry
