Modified Lignite

DESCRIPTION SRI-LIG is a selected lignite product that has been carefully dried to an optimum moisture content and ground to a fine powder to enhance its chemical reaction and dispersion in the mud system. It becomes soluble in the pH ranges above 10. APPLICATIONSRI-LIG is utilized as a filtration control agent in low to high temperature water base muds. It is an effective thinner in low and high pH muds especially when used with caustic. It also acts as an emulsifier for oil. SN-LIG is a complementary additive for stabilizing the fluid loss and viscosity of lignosulphonate muds
