BL-506 BL-506 is a highly active Ester-Based lubricant, effective in reducing torque and drag when drilling with water-base mud systems. BL-506 also reduces the sticking coefficient of mud filter-cake and thus the tendency of pipe to become wall-stuck. BL-506 is also very effective in coiled tubing and wireline work where torque and drag is a problem. BL-506 extreme pressure lubricants and friction reducers that can be used even in the presence of excessive downhole hydrocarbon contamination.
