IRU5000 Series Ultrasonic Sensors

These ultrasonic sensors are an ideal solution for a wide variety of level applications where instruments cannot be submerged in the liquid such as freezing water or corrosive liquids. The sensors are completely programmable through an RS-232 serial interface Windows based utility program. Analog scaling allows the end user to select the current output (0-20mA or 4-20mA) and then scale the output over the required measurement range (maximum 20 ft.). The level measurement may also be obtained through the RS232 by sending an ASCII character to the sensor when it is operating. Sensor control settings allow the user to adjust the ultrasonic signal strength to the minimum required for reliable detection of the target. This helps to eliminate detection of false echoes, while filtering options reduce interference from false echoes or noise. Temperature compensation is standard.
