LS04 Liquid Level Sensor

An LS04 is a plastic float-type liquid level sensor that operates on a simple principle. Floats have built-in actuator magnets that activate a series of Reed Switches as they move up and down the sensor, allowing liquid level detection to occur. Several float switch magnets and Reed Switches can be used to detect a number of different fluid levels. The LS04 is capable of detecting up to 7 liquid levels with a maximum of 6 magnetic floats. In addition to multi-point liquid level detection, the LS04 offers flexibility in a number of custom component options such as: cable and wire termination, float materials, sizes, magnetic moment, and buoyancy. Other customizations include a variety of mounting options for various liquid containers or reservoirs as well as two different plastic stem materials that can be modified in lengths, in order to meet specific application requirements.Depending on which plastic stem is selected, the liquid application will vary. Polyamide (PA) can be used with oil, brake fluid, and petrol-derived liquids such as gasoline. Polypropylene (PP) is an excellent choice for drinking water, water-based liquids, non-aggressive liquids and solvents, such as cleaners, and alcohols.
