UST gas sensors type GGS are used in many applications, predominantly where the health and safety is of importance.
The sensor material consists of semi conducting oxides, applied to aceramic carrier substrate incorporating a platen heater to control thesensor temperature. By modifying the effective layer and the chiptemperature it is possible to vary the types of gases to be detectedand the sensitivity, although certain physical and chemical limitationscan apply.
The measuring range, depending on the different types of gases, stretches from a few ppb to vol.%-range.
