KIRLOSKAR/VIVEKANAND / ARGO make transformers are widely used by electricity boards, power distribution houses, textile mills, paper plants, chemical plants, pharmaceutical industries, automobile industries, railways, public sector under takings & various other industries, organisations. CORES:The core is made of imported C.R.G.O. silicon steel laminations with both sides carlite insulation of M4 grade to minimise iron losses & magnetising current. To achieve a minimum sound level (humming noise) , the clamping device is so designed as to give a force evenly distributed on the magnetic core. WINDINGS:High voltage & low voltage windings are of different types like spiral, helical, crossover or continuous disc. The windings are of electrolytic copper round wires & strips insulated with paper of class "A" insulation. INSULATION:All insulation materials used are from PLEPHANTIDE? press boards & of permawood wherever necessary. TAPPING SWITCH:Manually operated off circuit tapping switch is provided for different plus minus voltage variations with lock & key arrangement. The contacts of switch are of copper& tin-plated to ensure sparkless , trouble free & smooth operations. The transformers can also be provided with ON LOAD TAP CHANGER if customers so require, at an extra cost. OIL:Transformers are supplied with first filling of high quality oil conforming to the IS :335 for better insulation & cooling. TANK:Tank is made of high quality C.R.C.A. M.S. sheets with sufficient stiffeners & all other standard accessories , like conservator, rollers, cooling radiators, drain valve, filter valve etc. Tank is welded from inside and outside & pressure tested at 7 lb/in2 to make it leakproof. FINISHING:The outer tank surfaces of transformer are primarily coated with two coats of red primer followed by three coats of light gray paint as per the IS :5 shade no. 631. The inside of the tank surfaces are painted by applying oil resistant zinc chrome paint. TESTS:All transformers are manufactured & thorough routine tests are conducted as per IS: 2026 GUARANTEE:All transformers are guaranteed for a period of 24 months against any design / manufacturing defects.
