Another suggested item is the closed loop shut off snap switch. This  mounts to the hot water tank (NSS-SNAP) when the hot water tank reaches 185 degrees it will shut of the closed loop pump, thus reducing the risk of the water heater tank temperature, pressure relief valve tripping.

We suggest a 10 watt 12 volt El - Sid (NSS-10W) EL for the closed loop pump  and a 20 watt Photovoltaic solar panel (NSS-20W). The 20 watt panel will start earlier in the morning and is able to pump the closed loop fluid on those cold northern mornings. We also suggest the the temperature differential switch (NSS-TD) to keep the pump from running until the closed loop fluid is 10 degrees hotter at the solar tubes than the water heater.  This assures you are not taking heat from your water heater and putting it through the closed loop when the closed fluid is not hot.
