Solar upper shell

This is a product illustration of the black, solar cell covered, carbon fiber solar shell for the solar electric sports coupe. It uses the highest available efficiency solar cells laminated over a fluted lightweight carbon fibre skin with the rear side and rear window louvers molded in. Though the oversized gullwing doors are considered part of the overall solar shell and also covered in solar cells, they are manufactured (as is the rest of the shell) with lightweight automotive glass incorporated into the unit separately. Together,  the entire upper shell of the car (illustrated in black) is removed as a unit by releasing latches in the front and rear. It can be easily removed by two adults without a lift for ease of service to the battery banks.
