Membrane (Film based) key switches are the fastest growing from of key switches due to its design flexibility and relative low cost. They are widely used as user interfaces in electrical and consumer applications.

Current membrane keypads are made of a composite of adhesives and films. The keypad patterns are then screen-printed. All material are die cut, laminated and assembled to strict tolerances. The layers are bonded together by very high strength adhesives, ensuring internal parts are hermetically sealed for long service life
