Concretex was established in 1973 and played a pioneering role in manufacturing and erecting precast concrete walls and garages in the domestic market of the Western Cape. Palisade and security walling was later added to the product range.A further first for the company and to the entire precast walling industry was the introduction of prestressed post uprights. This technology was introduced and perfected by Concretex in-house. This revolutionised the industry by providing a stronger, lighter support for precast walls. This had major repercussions throughout South Africa and this improvement is used throughout the country today.
