Gypsum Wallboard

Low cost wallboard production.  Gypsum wallboard is a key component in the construction of walls and ceilings in residential and commercial buildings.  Eagle's American Gypsum Company currently operates five manufacturing facilities in Colorado, New Mexico, South Carolina and Oklahoma that have a combined annual wallboard production capacity of nearly 4.0 billion square feet, making Eagle the nation's fifth largest wallboard producer.  Much of our competitive advantage lies in our modern efficient dryers and energy efficient calciners.  In addition, we have improved the strength, reduced the weight and improved the quality of our gypsum wallboard all while at the same time reducing the amount of waste product generated.  Because of our attention to detail and focus on improving our already low-cost production of gypsum wallboard, we are able to remain profitable despite an extremely difficult marketplace.
