Pequiarana tropical hardwood (Caryocar glabrum)

White, slightly yellowish heartwood, but slightly distinct from the lighter sapwood. Grain interlocked, texture coarse, irregularly bright and rough surface, not distinctive odor and taste. Very resistant to fungi and other decay organisms. Low permeability to preservative solutions even with pressure-vacuum systems.Uses: current furniture or furniture components, heavy carpentry, trucking flooring, industrial or heavy flooring, wood frame house, ship building, tool handles (resilient wood), exterior paneling, and sleepers.
