2-Vinyl Pyridine

Pure product of 2-Vinyl Pyridine (2VP for short) is a colorless
transparent liquid with the boiling point of 159-160^oC (760mmHg), flash point of 46^oC, density of 0.97(20^oC), slightly soluble in water and soluble in dilute acid, hydrocarbons, alcohols,
esters, ketones etc.

Mainly used in the manufacture of Butadiene-Styrene-Vinylpyridine Latex,
which is a binding agent for the fiberous curtain threads, curtain cloth
etc. for tires, rubber hose, transmission belt etc. in the rubber industry. Moreover, it is an important chemical intermediate in pharmaceutical
industry, and the industries of ion exchanging resin and chemica film etc.

This product is toxic. Therefore handling it must be very careful,
aoiding inhaling it into mouth and nose and contacting it with skin. It
is unstable under heat and moisture and accordingly the storing
temperature should be below -10^oC and shelf life be lower than
3 months, avoiding moisture. Stored and transported with stainless steel
and other nocorrodible substance made equipment. Ethanol should be used
to clean self-assembled substances in the storing and trasporting
equipment.

Packing:
In 170 kg galvanized iron drums lined with noncorrodible plastic or
according to customers' requirements.
