MDT (Mobile Data Terminal)

The MDT is a programmable text terminal installed in vehicles and used to display incoming text messages and initiate outgoing text messages between the vehicle and a fleet manager. Data is transferred to/from the MDT via the serial RS232 port that is typically connected to a wireless radio modem. The MDT is designed to withstand the tough vehicle environment, including extreme temperatures, providing the reliability required for critical mobile data applications. The MDT is fully integrated with Radio Wave's Fleet Management software.
