5. Features:
   A. Environmentally friendly:
   (1)Natural starch is eroded or swallowed by microorganism (moulds or bacteria or fungi); the mulch films, trash bags, shopping bags, etc begin biodegradation; PE is a big molecule and is polymerized by many molecules, starch is polymer as well, but is natural. Starch can be very easily resolved or biodegraded into amylose, amylose can be very easily resolved or biodegraded into CO2 and Water. [For example, put starch into water, it quickly becomes expansive and whitish, then biodegrades or resolves itself very soon.
   (2)The mulch films, trash bags, shopping bags, etc are made of starch and PE. First, PE pellets and starch are evenly mixed and evenly melted together, then, film is blown, bag is formed; if starch biodegrades, PE definitely degrades too. Molecular chain (carbon linking hydrogen) inside polymer is really like a chain, which we could see in daily life, while the chain begins degradation or resolved, it becomes shorter and shorter, lighter and lighter, polymer (big molecule) turns into monomer, into pieces, into invisible powder until totally absorbed by the nature, by the environment
   (3)PE is degraded into invisible powder, which is absolutely no harm to the soil as well as the environment; furthermore the degraded PE powder would be likely swallowed by microorganisms as well.
   (4)Starch is regenerative natural resource, oil however, is non-regenerative and is depleting. It partially substitutes oil-related resins/master batch.
   (5)If ordinary mulch films, trash bags, shopping bags, etc are collected and are burned in incinerator, harmful burning heat is very high, life of incinerator becomes shorter; Biodegradable mulch films, trash bags, shopping bags, etc are better for incinerator, harmful burning heat is rather lower than burning ordinary plastics, life of incinerator becomes longer for certain. If you ignite biodegradable film and ordinary film in the office, different smell, different dripping, different fume could be well compared by eyes, by nose.
    (6)If biodegradable mulch films, trash bags, shopping bags, etc are collected and buried in the dirty garbage yard or buried in the compost soil, it will biodegrade into invisible powder until totally absorbed by the nature, by the environment.
   (7)If biodegradable mulch films, trash bags, shopping bags, etc are collected and recycled, it may be the same as recycling the ordinary mulch films, trash bags, shopping bags, etc.
   (8)If biodegradable mulch films are buried in the soil, after harvesting the crops, it will biodegrade into invisible powder until totally absorbed by the nature, by the environment; If ordinary mulch films are buried in the soil, after harvesting the crops, it will not degrade for 60-100 years.

   Starch could be eaten by human beings; PE (composed of carbon & hydrogen) is widely accepted and used around the world.

   E. Period of biodegradation:
   3-6 month in general, but it depends on the environment, it may vary from 1-12 month.
   F. Biodegradation conditions:
   (1) Compost soil, dirty garbage yard, wet soil where microorganism (moulds or bacteria or fungi) are redundant, the more the better, so are the speed of biodegradation and the degree of biodegradation.
   (2) In addition, the light, heat, water, oxygen, pollutant, insects, wind, sand, rain in the nature could help with biodegradation as well.
   (3) Mechanical force is also an element for biodegradation, for example, some of garbage yard will be treated by bulldozer, the mulch films, trash bags, shopping bags, and etc may be broken by external force.
   6. Processing Instruction: Good processibility, no need to change processing facilities. Processing temperature can be adjusted according to processing facilities, generally 130-170 according to the base resin.
   7. Adding ratio recommended: For film, 10-50%.
   8. Main Ingredient: 60% Natural starch 40% LLDPE.
   9. Storage and Packing: Outer package is craft paper bag (net weight is 25-kg), inner package is poly bag (net weight is 5-kg), keep in dry, cool, clean place with good ventilation, protect from sunlight, rain and do not damage the package.
   Remark: Biodegradable mulch films, trash bags, shopping bags, etc will not begin biodegradation in common conditions, such as transshipping, warehousing, etc.
