Primary aim of the company is to supply a professional transport service to all sectors, including industrial, manufacturing and mining entities.
The company mainly operated in the earthmoving and construction sectors. However, as we are situated in close proximity to some of the largest chemical plants in the country, we have expanded our business to serve the chemical industry as well. Today we transport a wide variety of commodities such as coal, fertilizer, hazardous products, steel shavings, chrome, glass, lime, etc. We are proud to have been accredited by SASOL and MITTAL (Iscor) as a preferred supplier.
Du Plessis Sand started doing business in 1979, as a sole proprietorship with a single truck. From there it grew and was changed to a (Pty) Ltd. in 1991.
