48V E-bike with Lithium Battery

The brakes are combination; electric (using the motor) and rim type.

The charger is usable for a wide range of voltages and replenishes the battery, within up to 6 hours. It is equipped with a combination lock/switch, in a useful, dual-level rear carrier rack.

The direct-drive brushless hub-motor is powerful, at 480W and is mounted in the rear wheel, retaining the use of 3-9 gear ratios; should the rider wish to pedal/exercise, or to further extend the range of the bike by conserving battery power.

The battery is Lithium-Ion, which will last for many charges (warranty is 12 months).

The maximum riding speed is about 40 kph and the powered 'go-stop-go' range per-charge is about 40 km.
