The figure below shows the sprinklers .These sprinkler is fixed in galvanised pipe which is meant for water based fire suppression. The sprinkler consists of bulb of cheemical liquid and this liquid has capability of expanding in the presence of heat so when the liquid absorbs heat the liquid expands and breaks the bulb so water from the pipe flows through the sprinkler and quenches the fire.
