Knoll's HDMI baluns allow you to maximize your home theater by being able to display 1080p up 114' from a Blu-ray player without any noticeable degradation or distortion. Longer
distances can be achieved when using lower resolution video such as 1080i. Best of all installations using the Knoll HDMI balun system are legal because it uses fire and safety rated low cost cat5
wires. Most HDMI cables are unrated for in wall use, so are illegal to use.
These baluns feature an infrared port on both units that make it possible to use infrared remote controls throughout the home. These baluns work with HD satellite boxes, TiVo, PVR's, HD up
convertors. Knoll HDMI baluns support DVI or M1DA with optional adaptors.
The Knoll transmission system works better than conventional "balun" systems because the Knoll transmission system relies on active electronics rather than transformers that can saturate and are
not as linear as active systems.
The multi transmission system comprises:
1. Send Unit for transmitting the HDMI signals as well as sending or receiving infrared signals.
2. Receive Unit for receiving the HDMI signals as well as sending or receiving infrared signals.
