Pongamia oil is a biofuel which is extracted from non edible oil seed. This oil is a direct substitute to fossil fuel which can be used in diesel generators with little alterations. On using this oil, the quality of the engine is maintained and less carbon is emitted in the atmosphere.
Carbon credits can be gained under the kyoto protocol when this biofuel is used.
