now cultivated in Asia and Europe. It is used as a source of perfume. Flower syrups were used for coughs, and leaf tea to rinse sore eyes and wounds. Jasmine flowers make a calming and sedative
infusion. It is externally used to soothe dry and sensitive skin. It is aromatic, anti-spasmodic, expectorant and antidepressant.
