Vanilla Oil (Vanilla Planifolia) The oil is obtained by solvent extraction of the pod. It is used for aromatherapy, to scent candles, freshen potpourri, in soap making, as a massage and bath oil and a perfume body oil. It is also used in creams, body lotions, bath oils, perfumes and in aroma lamps. Vanilla oil is used as a flavoring agent in pharmaceutical products and food. It is used for calming, relaxing, softening anger, frustrations and irritability. It is used as an aphrodisiac.
