Therapeutic properties:
It helps to relax muscles including the smooth muscles of the digestive tract and uterus therefore, is used to soothe digestive upsets and relieve menstrual cramp, but when used in large quantities it can have opposite effect. Tea made from the leaves is also taken as a tonic for calming nerves.
