Sean (Michael Caine) is a best-selling mystery author who's up to his ears in alimony and palimony payments and thoroughly disillusioned with relationships. Daisy (Sally Field) is a struggling artist who can't convince her boring but wealthy lawyer boyfriend to marry her. Love blossoms when the two meet during a terrorist attack, but Sean, convinced that all women are only after his money, tries to hide his true identity.
