If I have a piece of artwork that I want the design onto fabric, who gets it into the computer for it to be digitally fabric printed?

We need to know the CUTTING increment of yardage that you must have.   To the best of our abilities, we try to print your yardage continuously, but on occasion, this is not possible.  Please let us know the quantity of the minimum continuous yardage needed.  For example: If we are printing 11 yards for a table cloth design and napkins but wind up only able to print 7 continuous, is that enough to print a table cloth?  

What information or items do I need to provide for you to execute my printing job? We would like the file as requested on CD ROM/FTP site along with a hard copy print out of the design or section of the design to scale, the item we are custom color matching to (pantone chips, Scotdic, color service surces-cotton inc, Huepoint, or swatches, original artwork, paint chips etc), type of fabric you are requesting, and yardage amounts.

Do you have an FTP site? Yes, reoccurring accounts can be set up to our FTP site with password protected access

Can I email them? You can email small files to your sales representative BUT you must have a hard copy with your work order.

The best way for us to use your files is from a CD Rom.

How does First2Print accept digital files? (Link to file setup)

Production fabric printing, Acid, Reactive and Dye Sublimation, depending upon our printing schedule, a job is usually turned around between 7-10 business days from the time we have receive a good workable file. 

On average, depending upon our printing schedule, a dye based printing  job is usually turned around between 3-5 business days from the time we receive a good workable file.

This depends on what kind of digital printing we will be doing.

The better we understand your end product, the better we can assist you in getting your digitally printed fabric jobs turned around to suit your custom needs.

Why is it important to know:  THE END PRODUCT?  

Although, we recommend you use our in-stock fabrics (link to fabric choices) as these have been tested to give you the best possible quality of printing, we do have what is called a custom treatment program available to our clients. Please contact us for more information. (Link to DF)

Can I use my own fabric to print?

Yes, if we print with our production based inks and our pre-treated fabrics-  Reactive, acids or disperse, the fabric is washable.  Please note that the fabrication determines which inks we use.

Is the printed fabric washable? 

Digital Fabric printing is NOT a direct science! Nuances sometimes occur during color matching, sample approval and yardage run. We aim to be very consistent by controlling as many variables as we can.  But just like rotary printing there are slight lot to lot variations.  This is the nature of digital textile printing.

Will my digitally printed fabric always look the same?

The pretreatment allows us to achieve optimum color matching and consistent printing to the best of our abilities.
