Container should be kept in an adequately ventilated, cool and dry placeaway from sunlight and source of heat. The shelf life under these conditions is 3 months which can be further improved upon by aerating the resin stored in the drums / carbouys at an interval of a fortnight. "NO SMOKING" rules must be enforced and ecouraged to prevent fires. Spillages may be absorbed onto sand or earth and shovelled off according to local regulations.The moulding workshop should be adequately vetiliated for allowing the styrene vapours to escape in the atmosphere. The use of masks to reduce styrene inhalation should be encouraged in order to promote good health of the moulder leading to operator comfort and increased efficiency.TOXICOLOGICAL & PHYSIOLOGICAL BEHAVIOUR OF UNSATURATED POLYESTER RESINSContinuous inhalation of styrene vapours will lead to irritation in the eyes and damage to the mucous lining of the nose. In case of irritation in the eyes or skin, it is recommended to wash with copious amount of water. In extreme case, seek immediate medical advice.CAUTION:"Never mix accelerator and catalyst directly. It may explode violently and catch fire." Store accelarator and catalyst seperately away from each other. It is recommended that the accelerator be blended into the resin first and catalyst be added immediately before use.
