70 % outside layer - pig iron; 30 % inside layer - aluminum.

FerAl-30 consists of two layers:

Average weight:  6 - 6,5 kg

Average density: 5 - 5,5 gr/cm3

Simply, FerAl-30 protects the aluminum in the pig iron shell and helps avoid an exothermic reaction which would otherwise cause considerable loss of aluminum efficiency. FerAl-30 maximizes the efficiency of deoxidizing by up to 3 times!

FerAl-30 is a "new & patent pending" product that is a substitute for aluminum ingot deoxidants (deoxidizers) which have been commonly used until today. FerAl-30 allows the aluminum to be injected into the liquid steel without getting in contact with the slag.
