Celtic-influenced shield

This Celtic-influenced shield was made by Peter several years back during his brief affair with armoring. The shield was raised from a single sheet of 16ga steel, and the woven overlay was forged from 3/16" x 3/4" steel. The entire shield was then heat-blued and the body of the shield hot-brass-brushed, a process which actually bonds a small amount of brass to the surface of the steel.
