Owing to the above characteristics, the ACS wires are edging out Galvanized Steel Wires in the following applications:
5) Excellent thermal stability for continuous operation in high temperature.
4) Lighter in weight than galvanized wire at the same wire strength;
3) Sufficiently strong bonding strength at the boundary between aluminium layer and steel core. It is especially important for high conductive wires;
2) High corrosion resistance due to thick aluminium covering on steel wire. Thus, ACS wires are normally installed in such corrosive districts as near the sea, industrial area, salty desert, near volcano, etc.;

Aluminium Clad Steel Wire (ACS) was developed based on a new technology of bi-metal deformation.
