APPLICATIONS/PROPERTIES:
This electrode is an austenitic stainless steel
electrode covered with a rutile coating. It is used
for the joining of dissimilar steels (austenitic steels
to ferritic steels) and for depositing austenitic
claddings. The weld metal deposit is austenitic
with approximately 15% delta-ferrite. A corrosion
resistant layer is obtained on alloy or low alloy
steels after the first pass. The highest operating
temperature for a dissimilar steel joint should be
