In backpack mode, the Bak2Pak carrying system reduces strain on your back with even weight distribution across the shoulders and with a low center of gravity when it hangs low near your bum. You can also sling it on one shoulder as people do with a normal backpack.
In single strap mode, the Bak2Pak carrying system allows you the convenience of throwing the bag over one shoulder.
In either mode, you can still look professional or urban with a messenger style bag.
