A cagenut application does not require special tools or special operations.
Cagenuts combine the best advantages of spring steel fasteners with the high strength of a threaded nut. In the event of a nut being stripped out or a bolt breaking, the nut can be simply removed and replaced with a new one.
A cage nut consists of a spring steel cage, designed to clip onto a square hole, within which is a threaded nut.
