Brass locknuts are the traditional components used in fastening glands to the gland plate. Electro zinc plated Steel locknuts are a cheaper alternative and should be used only in dry, low humidity conditions. Lock nuts available in metric, imperial, NPT, BSPT, BSP and PG threads.
