Oil-press Shut off valve

Shut off valves stop the flow of concrete within the pumping system. They either insert an obstruction into the concrete flow, or shift one line relative to the second line. See Illustration 10. On high-rise pumping, use a shut off valve in the line near the pump. This valve will allow you to isolate the vertical standpipe when you are through pumping or in case of a mechanical pump problem.
